Sampson on obverse, naval soldiers on reverse, SAN JUAN, P.R. / JUNE 28 in exergue, edge engraved (straight up and down) with WM. B. STRATTON Q.M 3C (Quarter Master Petty Officer third Class), the seaman to whom this medal was originally presented. Dark XF.
